Rayne - Day 1
Not so bad, except that I'm fairly certain I'm going to get myself lost on all of these tiny back roads, all of which seem to be surrounded by fields of some sort of crop that I can't identify. I am trying very hard to sort of contain the elitist-New-York-Jew attitude that I'm told I sometimes project... although when one guy heard I went to Columbia he asked why I didn't go to Harvard instead. Obviously that needed some sort of response, so it cannot be held against me. The apartment that I'm staying in is in Lafayette, which is about 30 minutes away from Rayne. When I was in Dr. Dawson's office, one of the nurses said that I would feel comfortable in Lafayette because its more city-like. Ha. The closest comparison that I can come up with is Old Country Road, only with fewer strip malls and more fields.
I did get invited to ride in a Frog Festival parade float next weekend.
