What Do All the Orcs Do?

What do all the orcs in the Lord of the Rings movies do when they are not fighting these epic battles against man? Like, I know the orcs and Uruk-Hai that fought in the Battle of Helm's Deep were created especially for that battle by Saruman, but what about the orcs in Mordor? I just watched The Return of the King, and there's that scene towards the end where Aragorn leads everyone out to the Black Gate to distract the Eye from Frodo and Sam, where it looks like literally thousands and thousands of orcs pour out and surround them. Like, there are a ton of them. What do they do the rest of the time? I can't imagine that there were many full on attacks requiring that many orcs. Do they like, take turns guarding the gate and going out on patrol? What do they do the rest of the time? Obviously not much, considering the complete lack of infrastructure inside of Mordor.

Morse Code

Do they still teach morse code in the army? i mean, it seems totally archaic. i can't imagine the average dude in the marines today being taught morse code. yet in every movie where there is some sort of worldwide communication failure, they always resort to morse code. it befuddles me.

Idol and Glee Again

Obviously I was not the only one who complained about Idol running over and fucking up the DVR recordings of Glee, because things were perfect this week. I like when bitching and ranting makes a difference.

DH and MP

Well, it looks like Marcia Cross is headed for another explosive season finale featuring a bomb. I can't help but wonder, who will say "its not as bad as it seems... its worse!"

I love that in those two sentences, I managed to reference Melrose Place, Desperate Housewives, and Sex and the City. Its almost like looking back at my life according to TV.

Idol and Glee

I am so fucking sick of American Idol running over and fucking up my DVR recording of Glee. I have not seen the end of like, the last three episodes because fucking Idol runs late. This is getting ridiculous.
