Apparently none of the descriptions in here are true anymore, except that sometimes I still worry about myself. In the past two years, I have tried to fly a kite.

Quote of the Morning

From John Carpenter, director of Halloween, on slasher films:

"Girls having sex [get killed because they] aren't paying attention!"

So profound.

Later in the Same Episode

Holy shit, I love how fucking dramatic Vulcans get when they lose the ability to suppress their emotions. What a fucking shit show!

Valentine's fun

So there is this great stoner psychiatry episode of Voyager that just came on. In it, Tuvok tries to comprehend how someone could just cold-heartedly kill someone else with no real motive, but can't, because that is too illogical an explanation. Its interesting from a psychiatry perspective because you can think about inherently violent impulses and self control and evolution and whatnot, and its interesting from a stoner perspective because you can think about how Tuvok is so wrapped up in his logic that he literally cannot comprehend something so illogical as senseless violence and how logic kind of fucked him over like that.

Nice.

Damn Greg's test on 2/15.

Maybe its better not to think about it too much

A grape is a very small fruit. I think that one of the things that defines something as being "grape-like" is that it is tiny. For example, a grape tomato is an itty bitty tiny tomato. Makes sense.

Where the hell did the grapefruit get its name from?

Lewis Carroll Smoked a Lot of Pot

So back in the day there was this really crazy TV miniseries of Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass that Uncle Aaron and Aunt Renee had on tape that we were like, obsessed with. Seriously, we watched that shit over and over again. Of course, I haven't seen it in years, so when I found the DVD on bn.com for like, $10, I had to get it. All that I can say after watching it again is that damn, Lewis Carroll was on some seriously fucked up hallucinogens. The hookah smoking caterpillar was clearly an autobiographical character.

I do love the Red and White Queens singing the "Can you do addition?" song. Now that was a blast from the past reminder of my childhood.
