Apparently none of the descriptions in here are true anymore, except that sometimes I still worry about myself. In the past two years, I have tried to fly a kite.

Tijana's teachings have finally kicked in

Tonight I successfully used the Henderson-Hasselbalch equation for possibly the first time in my life. I didn't even use a calculator. I am super proud of myself.

QBanking

While reviewing my most recent QBank quiz, I noticed something interesting.

There was one question that 95% of QBank users got correct. I, of course, got it wrong.

There was one question that 28% of QBank users got correct. I got it right. And it wasn't even a random guess.

The boards will be interesting.

Sydney Returns!

Laura Leighton was in an episode of Law and Order: SVU! She played this mom who had sex with her daughter's friends and bought them alcohol and sort of turned her daughter into an alcoholic. The best part is that she did it all because her daughter was lonely and she wanted to help her make friends. Its so fucking Sydney Andrews I can hardly stand it. Doing something absolutely outrageous because she foolishly thinks it will make life better. Can someone say typecast?

Incidentally, Laura Leighton is married to Doug Savant (Matt Fielding on MP and Tom Scavo on DH). For some reason I really enjoy that fact.

Validation

This article just reaffirms what I've been saying since I graduated.

If I was applying to college now, with the exact same applications I used back in the day, there is no fucking way I would have gotten in. I'd be at some lesser SUNY, and most likely would be grateful for it. Kids these days.

Toby Ziegler summed it up nicely -
"It's like when they did the thing with the SAT scores and I got dumber 20 years after I went to college"

Well, it only took me seven.
