Apparently none of the descriptions in here are true anymore, except that sometimes I still worry about myself. In the past two years, I have tried to fly a kite.

I was born into the Hebrew persuasion, but when I got older I converted to narcissism

Woody Allen is so ridiculously neurotic. Its great. Scoop is pretty fun. There are some great lines and he of course plays his own fucked-up self.

I miss New York.

Back in Nola

I'm back in New Orleans. Its kind of weird. I don't think its really hit me that I live here yet. Its kind of hard to imagine school being here, and not in Houston. It doesn't really feel right just yet. It might help if I actually had furniture in my apartment. Ikea is quickly becoming my Anti-Christ.

I still really miss my closet and my psychiatrist in Houston.

Project Runway Favorites

Yeah, I probably should have done this after the first episode, but whatever. I really like Laura. I totally want to see her win. Her designs seem to have a bit of a Betsey Johnson feel to them. I also really like that she has five kids and lives in what appears to be a kick ass apartment in the city and is fun and chic and went to Columbia. Other designers I also like: Michael, Kayne, and Rob. Designers I don't like: Keith. He's totally the arrogant bastard of this season. Jeffrey is also super arrogant and annoying, but I don't really see him as having the talent to back it up. Keith does, and he knows it, and grr, it sucks. You know how on the previews, they show Tim kicking someone off the show? I hope its Keith. I also liked Malan. Yeah, that dress he made today sucked a lot, but I was sorry to see him go so early. I feel like he could have had a lot of potential. I haven't decided how I feel about Vincent yet. I kind of like him as a character (and I mean it as a character, not a person), but I'm not all that crazy about his designs and he was pretty obnoxious during the Miss USA challenge. You know he's most likely stoned half the time. I seriously doubt he'll make it to fashion week, but it could be entertaining to see him in a few more episodes. They haven't really given us a chance to get a feeling for everyone else's personalities, so there are still a bunch of undecideds. But yeah, right now, I am totally a Laura fan.

Oh, and what the fuck was Vera Wang wearing?

Packing etc

God I hate packing. I can't believe that my break is almost over. I'm very sad about leaving New York. I'm not ready to go back to school and having to think about important things. Plus I am incapable of focusing on packing for more than three minutes. I'll start packing with all the best intentions. Then I see a shiny object and its all over.

Oy vey

So one of the things that I end up doing whenever I come home is rereading old stories that I wrote back in the day. Its kind of interesting to like, look back and see how my writing has been influenced by various things. Sure, I can see where various plots and characters, etc, came from, and I probably even realized it then, but its more the style that is getting to me. The super early stuff, from like elementary school and middle school, sounds like a Babysitter's Club book, especially the stories written in the first person. As depressing as that was to realize, it may have actually gotten worse when I looked at the stuff that I wrote in high school. While it still had the Babysitters Club-esque feel to it, there was also a distinct Danielle Steel undertone. Its pretty depressing, especially because I can barely stand reading some of it because its so wretched. I truly hope that my more recent stuff is better.

Oh yeah. Its also painfully obvious which stories were pre-Melrose Place, and which were post.

The Return

Okay, I know its been like, ages since I've posted. I hereby resolve to change that. The time has come for the world to once again be subject to all of my ridiculous ramblings. Be prepared.
